Slim Da Mobster signed by Dr Dre, Eminem & 50 Cent

Aftermath announced a month ago Slim Da Mobster as their latest signee. He’s signed to Dr Dre’s label as a songwriter and an artist and is cooking up his album. But right now he’s contributing to Detox alongside heavyweights like Eminem, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne and T.I.

"I’m not even focused on my album right now. I’m all about his album. ’Cause the better I do on that, the better it is for the situation with my album," Slim explained to MTV News.

He impressed Eminem and 50 Cent so much that they both pushed to ink a deal. As a result Slim Da Mobster who grew up in South Central and Dallas is now in a unique position being signed to Aftermath / Shady / G-Unit Records.

The young MC dropped a mixtape hosted by DJ Clue that built him a pretty big buzz on L.A. Now that he’s signed to the good doctor, he will be able to use only Dr Dre beats for his album.

Slaughterhouse expected to sell 25K in their first week

Slaughterhouse’s self-titled debut is expected to sell 25,000 albums in its first week on stores. The group consisting of Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce Da 5’9" is currently on the Rock The Bells Tour supporting their first release as a collective.

Crooked I recently explained in an interview what the album is all about : "It’s in concrete, August 11th," he said. "This is what we need at this time period in hip-hop. This project is what we need. It ain’t all about the money. If we doing sh*t for money then I’d probably have a number one ringtone right now. I do it for the love. I do it for the passion. I do it for the art form. That’s something that the fans should appreciate even more, the fact that we are willing to sacrifice the money to come and do a group in this economy and it’s four of us. It’s not for the money man."
